Many people have wondered where the daffodils along Hwy. 94 as it travels through Busch Wildlife area.

About 60 people  hiked Sunday afternoon March 24, 2019  along Highway 94  where the town of Hamburg,  MO used to be. The federal government acquired 18,000 acres for a munitions plant in 1941 wiping out the towns of Howell and Hamburg.   The link for photos used on hike day is here:

 The hike was led by Bob Brail who showed where the homes, stores and churches were and where remnants of homes in the form of concrete foundations still remain.   About 1/3 of the attendees were descendants of families who had lived in "the tnt area".
